Be is a request. It is a request of self, other and community.
Together with nonprofit CARE Partnership, we have created an opportunity for individuals and groups to express what they hope to Be and in turn hope others to Be as well. There are three creation stations that provide the materials needed to create an 11x17 elaborate, crazy or simple sign that expresses Be.
Be Nice
Be Silly
Be Daring
Be Healthy
After the sign is made, the individual is requested to go the photo both and have a portrait made with the Be request. Hundreds of portraits were projected during the evening hours of the Mesa Arts Center Prototyping Festival as a means of sharing the collective request of Be.
