Oddly, settlers of the west chose the thirsty desert lands to plant citrus groves. Cleo, bound to the golden treasure took refuge in an abandon Livery and moved her grove of ten trees indoors away from the scorching heat. Inside the sanctuary, Cleo serenaded the trees with maritime sounds from a Waterloo pump organ. Every day, Cleo would seek the help of strangers to walk her Grove of Lemon trees in search of water. In return, Cleo would provide the individual with a hand crafted wooden optimist nickel and render a portrait of the walker and the tree.
